
Michelle Grady is a highly experienced external relations professional who currently leads Woodside Energy’s Myanmar business. Through her career, which has spanned three continents, she has held senior positions covering government relations, communications, community engagement and crisis management. She believes in inclusive workplaces and mentors and promotes women in the workplace.
Michelle has significant experience working with Governments and regulators, and a strong track record of achieving business outcomes when working with multiple stakeholders. In her role, she guides all external business interactions and leads in-country political, business and industry relationships including with oil and gas peers. She is chair of the Myanmar petroleum operators’ group. She previously headed up corporate communications at Woodside and was responsible for guiding and shaping all external communications and advising on and approving all business communications. Her team’s portfolio included investor communications, executive communications, media relations and corporate brand. In London she worked with multinational FMCG companies advising on how to manage and respond to the public and media and with Government on a range of policy issues from tax to STEM.
Michelle holds a Master of Arts with honours in Politics from the University of Glasgow.
